GIS Remote Sensing Analyst

Carlos Kelly is a GIS Remote Sensing Analyst at Land IQ, LLC. Carlos holds an M.S. and B.S in Physics from Utah State University. For his master's thesis, he studied dayside auroras at the South Pole, utilizing both ground-based and satellite-based sensors. Previously he worked for the water research group at the University of Idaho Kimberly Research & Extension Center, where he was an evapotranspiration remote sensing specialist and generated evapotranspiration maps with emphasis in the agricultural environment. His evapotranspiration mapping has been used by the Idaho Department of Water Resources for water rights enforcement, water transfers, and for ground water modeling studies. Previously, his evapotranspiration analysis has also supported a water rights case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
